As we are slowly approaching and engaging with high technological advancement in our daily life, many of us are not aware that we are already slowly entering the world of web 3.0 where everything can be done efficiently, quickly, by at the end of our fingertips. Yes, we could already start saying our goodbyes to the previous Web 2.0 that has made thorough changes in our lives with the presence of many cool internet platforms such as hype social networking sites, wiki pods, RSS (Real Symple Syndicate) and so much more!
But as time goes by especially in our current year of 2013, technology has made itself beyond human expectation where impossible is nothing. I must say that it is quite an achievement for such companies to be able to produce such product where everything can be put into a single device. How cool is that? For exhibit, take the latest Apple Iphone 5s that has already been launched in a few certain parts of the world. Its capable of having, voice recognition system or better known as ‘Siri’, finger recognition system, running on double quad core processor, a GPS system and its latest ‘AirDrop’ system are just too much to ask in a phone. On my point of view who needs other devices such as digital cameras or a camcorder where everything can be multi-crafted as one and put it into a phone.
Having to encounter with this new so called Web 3.0 or the ‘Mobile Era’ is something that innovation and devices are working pretty well together in making the best out of the best. Many companies are competing against each other to fullfil their consumer’s needs and demands in providing the best service for them. For instance, another example would be Samsung and their efforts done in making their products and marking their name as a top notch company. Web 3.0 is all about emerging as much as innovation there is in other sorts of devices, and to be put in a single device. That is why we are surrounded with the Smart Phone phenomena where all IT companies are producing their best at product making to be on top in their industry. Funny when i could recall those times especially in the early 90’s when how telephones and mobile devices were built as huge as possible at the least functional it could get – Time flies so fast right! Now, it’s a total different functions of how handphones used to be and how it is now.
Not to forget, I would like to mention about some other things that are included as what we call as Web 3.0 in which communication has become so much easier when there are video conferencing or interactions such as Skype, Facetime and Oovoo. These are categorized as Web 3.0 due to its capability in establishing live video conferencing from one to another at limitless distance wise.
As a conclusion, these mediums does not come at a cheap price. As time goes by with all the high tech features and stuff, items get really expensive as a way to make it up to their profit. So for all IT ‘Geeks’ out there, do think twice before buying whether it is for a good cause or just for the sake of having one because of your friend uses it. Can I have an agree on that? I end up my review with Assalamualaikum and God Bless technology :)

Well aizat. i have to agree with you that people better think twice or even think 53times before getting one. these technology nowadays will never come at cheap price because there are so many technology creaters or producers out there who are competing with each other, hence the expensive price. as for myself, i think web 3.0 now is very efficient that every single thing can be done instantly. from producing a video, write an email, transfer information and many more. it makes life much more easier especially for Public Relations practitioner. Pro must constantly with their smart phone to send email, text message and most importantly to be available on new media at all times such as facebook twitter instagram to update and connect with the public. Therefore, kudoos to these geniuses who made it possible.
ReplyDeleteeverything can be easily done, and easily damaged. especially for us future communicators, our risk and responsibility are rapidly increasing with the technology....
Deletei think we the advancement of technology like this, the work of a practitioner will be much more easier. practitioner works with people all the time, meeting with them is pretty much a basic thing. With this type of technology, practitioners can save time as they can meet people online. I think that is one big advantage for a practitioner as we have much more other works to do besides meeting people
ReplyDeleteI think I'm a victim of Web 3.0.... I find the easiest way possible to look for information. Lucky with a smartphone like my iPhone (shameless Apple ad here), there's many things that can now be done to look for information. Google is just at the touch of a fingertip, literally. And photo sharing has not been easier. But what Aizat said in the last paragraph, about buying for a good cause or buying just to join the bandwagon, I can relate. I mean, for me, I ensure I learn and know the full use and functions of a certain gadget and use it to its fullest. But I know many others who barely know how to work their smartphone but rather let their smartphone work them.
